I have abandoned building the archive of stories through this site. The amount of traffic was incredibly feeble, and the goal of covering the costs by donations was not coming close to being met. I’m getting ready to disable this site, have removed the stories, and have killed the “Follow.It” link.
I have moved the story series to a Substack subscription, where it has a better chance of reaching a new audience and supporting itself. And that will restore the feature of regular email delivery, which folks seemed to value so much, but which I no longer wanted to be involved with because of all the headaches associated with it. Note that you can subscribe to a free version that delivers a story each Monday. Paid subscriptions get a second story on Fridays, and access to the archive of Substack stories as they build up. If there was a story that had been hosted here, it eventually will run in the story series on Substack.
